What destinations are calling to American travelers this holiday
season?
After reviewing more than two million booked itineraries for
roundtrip flights departing from U.S. airports from December 17 and returning
by December 30, 2024, the travel insurance company has revealed the top 10
destinations for holiday
travelers.
Allianz found that 83 percent of the itineraries were for
domestic travel while 17 percent represent international locations.
"The most wonderful time of the year is approaching,
and Americans across the country are starting to plan and pack for their winter
getaways," said Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at
Allianz Partners USA in a statement.
He added, "Celebrating the festive season with family
and friends can quickly turn stressful due to unexpected travel mishaps like
significant travel delays, trip cancellations or even serious medical issues
while traveling. Purchasing a travel insurance protection plan to protect
pre-paid non-refundable travel investments from financial losses due to covered
events can help keep holiday memories sweet."
