Boutique cruise line Celestyal is giving away a free cruise to all athletes from Team USA who won a medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The cruise line, which is headquartered in Greece, the historical birthplace of the Olympics, is gifting the 257 medalists who helped Team USA become the highest-ranking country in the Games. Sixty-five percent of the athletes became first-time medalists.
Medal winners can choose from a selection of 7-night voyages, including the “Steps of Paul” voyage departing Athens on October 12 this year; eight different sailings of the “Desert Days” itinerary between December and March 2025; fourteen different sailings of the “Idyllic Aegean” itinerary between May and October 2025; and four sailings of the “Heavenly Adriatic” itinerary between April and August 2025.
The boutique line’s Greece itineraries also offers the special National Geographic Day Tour - “The history of the Olympic games in Athens,” led by National Geographic-trained guides.
All voyages are sailed aboard the Celestyal Journey, a 1,260-passenger ship complete with a spa, full gym, several restaurants and more.
“Following years of exceptionally hard training and the pressures of competing at an Olympic Games, both mentally and physically, there’s no better way for heroes from Team USA to unwind and relax than on a Celestyal cruise,” said Lee Haslett, Celestyal’s chief commercial officer. “Onboard, they can enjoy our extensive wellness program, indulge in authentic and fresh cuisine, and explore wonderful ports of call. We look forward to welcoming team USA medallists and their guests onboard with our renowned warm hospitality – congratulations to all of our cherished Olympians.”
