CLEAR Plus members now have additional options to make time spent at an airport as hassle-free as possible. The new programs are described as Ambassador Assist offerings and are called Curb-to-CLEAR and Curb-to-Gate. Both options involve passengers being met upon arrival at the airport and ushered through the screening process, though the level of help varies slightly between the two choices.
As the CLEAR website explains: “With Curb-to-CLEAR, our Ambassadors will meet you when you arrive, help you with your luggage, and bring you through the CLEAR Plus Lane. With Curb-to-Gate, our Ambassadors will also take you beyond security to your gate or anywhere along the way.”The new programs are available exclusively to CLEAR Plus members (membership costs $199 annually) and must be booked online at least 10 hours in advance of your flight departure, according to the CLEAR website.
The services are available regardless of whether you have TSA PreCheck or standard screening on your boarding pass.As part of the program, a CLEAR ambassador will text you on the day of your flight to coordinate logistics of where you’ll meet at the airport. In addition to helping travelers breeze through the security process, CLEAR Ambassadors can assist with finding concessions or restrooms and will wait while you make quick stops in various airport locations. The new Ambassador offering from CLEAR is available at a select number of airports at the moment, including Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Denver International Airport (DEN). The program is set to become available at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in November., according to The Points Guy.
