Crystal Cruises is adding another ship to its fleet.
In June, Crystal announced that it had signed a memorandum of agreement with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri to construct two new ships, with the the option to build a third. Now, the cruise line has exercised that option for a third ship.
All three ships will be 61,800 tons and will be able to accommodate up to 690 passengers. Each vessel will have suites with private verandas, as well as accomodations for solo travelers. The vessels are slated for delivery in 2028, 2030 and 2032.
Like the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, the vessels will also have a perimeter promenade, a Nobu restaurant, a casino, a spa and fitness center, a family area and more.
“This order reflects Fincantieri's comprehensive strategy in the cruise ship sector,” according to an announcement from the shipbuilder. “As a global leader in high-tech shipbuilding, Fincantieri is dedicated to developing innovative, environmentally sustainable vessels that meet evolving market demands.”
