With all the holidays, December always to prove to be one of the busiest—as well as one of the most stressful—times for people to fly. Add in problematic weather in many parts of the country and you have a recipe for delays and even cancelations.
The eSIM travel company, Airalo, recently analyzed the past two years of December data from the Air Travel Consumer report to reveal the best airlines to fly with this holiday season to avoid flight cancelations and delays.
The airlines most likely to get you home for the holidays are ranked below:

American Airlines flies to more than 350 destinations in 60-plus countries and they also rank at the top for the lowest percentage of canceled flights. If you’re looking to fly with American Airlines this December, they only canceled 0.80% of the flights across December 2022 and 2023, making them a good choice of airline to get you home for the holidays.
Delta Air Lines flew a similar number of flights to American Airlines and only had a slightly higher percentage of canceled flights at 1.19%, making them another safe choice to get you home for the holidays.
Over December 2022 and 2023, Jetblue Airlines flew more than 45,000 flights and only canceled 548 (1.21%) making them the fourth most reliable airline for not canceling flights.
