Expedia Group is expanding its reach globally with new partnerships this year, from Asia to North America and beyond.
In North America, Alaska Airlines’ one-stop travel portal, Alaska Vacations, uses Expedia Group's White Label Template platform, integrating flights, car rentals and properties, all bookable at the same time.
United Airlines is using Expedia’s same technology for its United Hotels platform, allowing MileagePlus members to both earn and redeem their miles on almost 700,000 hotels and vacation rentals.
Independent travel advisors within the TRAVELSAVERS network are also now partnered with Expedia’s Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP), allowing them to offer the group's competitive prices to clients.
In the Asia Pacific region, destination partnerships with Tourism and Events Queensland, Tourism Tropical North Queensland, Tourism Northern Territory and Brisbane Economic Development Agency will improve sustainable tourism, showcase the regions’ culture and landmarks and more.
"We're constantly deepening relationships with established global travel brands and providing startups and entrepreneurs the scale needed to propel their growth," said Greg Schulze, President of Travel Partners and Media. "Combined with Expedia Group's transformative technology, our valuable media network inspires travelers across our global brands, while creating significant value for our partners."
Japanese online booking service, Ikyu, is now implementing Expedia Group's Rapid API solution, as is Top Town Travel, an IATA member agency offering professional travel services for both inbound and outbound travelers in China.
In Europe, IAG Loyalty is now using Expedia's Rapid API, offering more ways for British Airways loyalty members to earn and redeem their points. Additionally, Liverpool Football Club fans booking one of nine Radisson Hotels properties through Expedia for matches will receive better perks from the club's Official Travel Partner.
Visit Qatar is another destination that is working with Expedia Group to promote Qatar as a destination among international travelers.
