Travelers will have even more opportunities to explore Canada and New England with Holland America Line in 2026. The cruise line is expanding its offerings in the region, with additional cruises, more port calls and additional overnights.

The 2026 season includes 18 different itineraries, with stops in destinations like Québec City and Montreal, Québec; Portland, Maine; Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia; St. John’s, Newfoundland; Reykjavik, Iceland; and more.

“Our Canada and New England cruises are filled with culturally rich destinations, storybook settings, the beauty of the St. Lawrence and vibrant fall foliage later in the season,” says Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for Holland America Line.

“We’re also excited to offer guests the chance to add Iceland to their exploration of Canada and New England—the timeframe is perfect for those sailing on Volendam to take in the spectacular late sunsets and white nights, including during an overnight call in Reykjavik," Bodensteiner continued.

From April through October 2026, Holland America Line will have two ships sailing in the region: Zuiderdam and Volendam. Many itineraries sail roundtrip from Boston, while others are between Boston and Montreal or Québec City, Canada. Cruises range from a week to nearly a month.

On June 20, 2026, the line will offer a special 28-day Legendary Voyage itinerary called “Canada, New England and Iceland.” Departing from Boston, the Volendam will explore all three regions in-depth.

No matter which cruise they choose, guests can expect to dine on local specialties—from Maine lobster and New England berries to Prince Edward Island mussels and North Atlantic cod.  Shore excursions include lobster boils, culinary walks, performances and more.
