IMEX America’s 2024 conference achieved record attendance this year, signaling strength and growth in the business events industry.
The 13th edition of the event was held October 8-10 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. It welcomed over 15,500 participants, over 5,500 of which were buyers. There were over 86,000 pre-scheduled meetings, many of which were one-on-one with exhibitors.
Among the sectors reporting growth this year was the incentive travel industry. The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence shared a new prediction that by 2026, 45 percent of buyers expect incentive travel to be above or significantly above current levels.
Over 1,600 people attended learning sessions at the show’s Inspiration Hub, with panels and speakers like event specialist Holly Ransom.
Carina Bauer, IMEX CEO, concluded: “We’re delighted that the global business events community has reconvened in such strong numbers here this week, bringing with them a desire to meet with purpose and forge connections for mutual long-term gain,” said Carina Bauer, IMEX CEO. “The broader catalytic effect of the show has shone through in the many fringe events, activities and celebrations on and off the show floor – it’s exciting to see how people have used the platform of the show to elevate their own impact and experience.”
