Les Bateaux Belmond has named French chef Dominique Crenn its first “culinary curator.”
The company, which offers luxury river cruises in France, has tapped the award-winning chef to curate two signature menus for its ships sailing in the Burgundy, Champagne and South of France regions. Each menu will feature a starter, a main course and a dessert highlighting seasonal, regional ingredients.
Crenn has won numerous accolades, including being recognized as one of Time’s 100 most influential people. She is the chef and owner of Atelier Crenn, a restaurant in San Francisco with three Michelin stars.
“I am thrilled to collaborate with Les Bateaux Belmond to curate a one-of-a-kind dining experience that weaves together the beauty of the French countryside with my own culinary philosophy,” Crenn says. “The menus I've designed celebrate the finest local ingredients and time-honored techniques to pay homage to the region's rich heritage. Together with Belmond, I hope to create lasting memories through unforgettable cuisine.”
The company is also announcing a new 2025 itinerary in Bordeaux aboard its ship Alouette. Guests will explore vineyards and wineries, participate in wine-inspired wellness activities and visit Latour-Marliac, the waterlily garden that inspired Claude Monet.
Other 2025 itineraries include “La Semaine des Grands Crus,” an exploration of Burgundy’s rich wine heritage, and the “Coquelicot Grand Champagne Voyage,” a 5-night trip through the Champagne region.
