Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has announced a $1 billion investment to improve the guest experience at its 42 parks across North America over the next two years, which will include new rides, themed areas, dining, attractions and more.
The company unveiled its planned investments for 2025 back in August. These include new attractions like Six Flags Great America’s Wrath of Rakshasa, a roller coaster that will break several world records when it debuts next year. The parks will also enhance its pass program.
Six Flags is anticipating to invest over $500 million in 2026, too. New improvements include a new record-breaking water ride at Carowinds and Canada’s Wonderland, a first-of-its-kind roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, a 50th anniversary refresh and celebration program at Six Flags Great America and over $80 million in food and beverage upgrades across the parks.
More details on the upgrades and new experiences will be announced at a later date.
“Our capital investment plans for the next two years reinforce our commitment to providing unmatched thrills, immersive entertainment and lifelong memories to guests of all ages,” said Six Flags President & CEO Richard A. Zimmerman. “The new Six Flags has a unique opportunity to refresh and renew the guest experience, one so compelling that a visit to one of our parks will be viewed as an indispensable choice in family entertainment.”
The new investments follow the merging of Six Flags and Cedar Fair, both of whom owned theme parks in North America. The $8 billion merger was finalized this past July.
