This July, guests onboard any Virgin Voyages ship will enjoy the return of the cruise line’s Eat & Drink Festival, a floating foodie fest that promises new ways to enjoy the line’s award-winning dining experiences.
This year, the Eat & Drink Festival is offering two new events. Seven Seas Sippers participants can enjoy a cocktail treasure hunt across seven bars, while those looking for a late-night bite can explore the first-ever Virgin Voyages Asian Night Market for delectable treats inspired by night markets across Asia.
Locations and dining venues across each Virgin Voyages ship will offer opportunities to enjoy new dishes and libations. Culinary demonstrations, dinner series and speakeasies are only some of the experiences to seek out.
Dining Is an Experience, Never a Buffet
Every ship offers over twenty dining venues, with menus created by Michelin-starred chefs, like Sohui Kim of Gage & Tollner and Insa in New York City. The ships offer zero buffet-style dining options, focusing instead upon offering a wide variety of culinary options for every diner. Additionally, dining areas are available around the clock, 24/7, so you can even grab that late-night bite at three o’clock in the morning after spending a rousing evening with friends.
The Wake is a modern steak and seafood restaurant offering fresh and tasteful dishes from both land and sea. Razzle Dazzle, during the day, is an American restaurant offering the best of comfort foods, and by night, transforms into a disco of flavors and music.
Pink Agave is where guests will find the freshest Mexican flavors and some of the best DJ beats onboard, while Gunbae offers a Korean twist on spicy foods and grilled meats that guests will crave during their cruise.
And those are just the beginnings of the culinary journey onboard a Virgin Voyages cruise!
Other restaurants include Extra Virgin, the Italian-style restaurant; The Test Kitchen, an experimental dining venue you have to experience to believe; The Pizza Place, where the options might literally be endless; The Social Club, where hot dogs are combined with fun games; Noodle Around, where you’ll find the best noods on ship, and even more.
Virgin Voyages also offers a 24-hour food delivery service from its app, which guarantees fresh food delivered to your cabin or onboard cabanas. Called ShipEats, it’s available at any time of day or night, so you can still enjoy great meals from the ship’s restaurants even if you’re already snuggled up in your pajamas.
Raising the Bar on Bars
Virgin Voyages' drinking scene is way more than a traditional bar or cocktail lounge. No, they’re award-winning experiences that ensure no one bar or lounge compares with another.
There’s Sip, the champagne lounge that transforms into an early breakfast or high tea venue during the day. The Dock, an alfresco Mediterranean-inspired venue featuring bright flavors and beautiful views. Gym & Tonic, an outdoor area for guests to explore their healthy side with cold-pressed juices, shakes and cocktails. The Draught Haus, a craft beer sanctuary where guests can enjoy All Day Breakfast shots and a curated selection of brews for every beer lover.
And yes, there’s more.
Travelers can pre-purchase a $100, $200 or $300 Bar Tab ahead of sailing to make it easy to enjoy your favorite libations without worrying about each purchase. When guests do so, they’ll also receive up to $50 in onboard credit as a bonus for pre-paying.
