Vietnam is experiencing an international visitor boom this year, with 14.2 million international travelers visiting the country during the first ten months of the year.
By this time last year, the country had welcomed 27.6 percent less travelers. Yet according to news site VietnamPlus, the country is expecting that number to grow significantly, since its high tourist season runs from October through March.
According to the Vietnamese General Statistics Office, nearly 12 million of those travelers arrived by air, which is a year-over-year increase of 36.9 percent, showcasing that visitors are coming from farther afield.
However, 80 percent of international travelers are from other Asian countries. South Korea, China, Taiwan and the United States are Vietnam’s largest international markets.
Vietnam has been on plenty of bucket lists this year, famous for its cultural immersion and natural beauty. It’s also been rated a top adventure travel destination for 2025.
