Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady cruise ship will undergo a series of notable upgrades this fall.
The vessel will receive new suites, restaurant concepts and bar and lounge spaces when it enters dry dock from November 14-28, 2024.
Several Sea Terrace cabins on deck 11 are being converted to create 24 “Seriously Suite” RockStar Quarters to meet demand. The popular accommodations measure 352 square feet and feature a European king bed, Peek-a-Boo shower, in-room record and vinyls, a stocked bar and the brand’s trademark Yellow Leaf hammock, among other highlights.
“We wanted to give our Sailors a taste of the rockstar life and worked with Tom Dixon to design the 78 RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters," Nicole Huang, VP of Fleet Experience, said in a statement. "They did such an amazing job, and there’s so much demand – our Massive Suite is often booked a year or more in advance. We’re answering in a big way by adding suites, so more people can live their best lives."
Meanwhile, Razzle Dazzle will introduce a new evening concept with an enhanced ambiance. "Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle" will feature a Chinese-inspired menu with craft cocktails that guests can enjoy in intimate and loungey booths.
The Galley's coffee bar Ground Club Too will also transform into a full-service bar with intimate lounge space and elevated cocktails at night.
What's more, the Roman and Williams-designed steak and seafood restaurant The Wake will readapt its raw bar to showcase an impressive collection of high-end wines.
On deck, VIP cabanas equipped with luxe daybeds will be added to overlook the Aquatic Club. The six bookable cabanas can be reserved individually or connected for larger group celebrations, the cruise line said.
Virgin Voyages will also enhance the ship's casino and spa. The former will receive additional slot machines while the latter will add a couples treatment room to complement the existing Thermal Suite.
"Since her much-anticipated debut in 2021, Scarlet Lady has sailed the world, welcoming hundreds of thousands of Sailors on board while delivering irresistible vacations," added Huang. "We’re listening and giving travelers more of what they’ve asked for – this includes more suites, luxe new cabanas and fresh, vibey dining concepts – so Sailors can truly live the life of a rockstar."
Following the renovations, Scarlet Lady will embark on a 16-night trans-Atlantic sailing from Rome to Miami before offering six- and eight-night Caribbean cruises.
