Now that summer is officially over and there’s a bit of a chill in the brisk autumn air, the winter holidays are virtually visible just around the corner. With them will come all the sparkling celebrations of the season and nowhere will it be more evident than at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

As in years past, guests of all ages will find an overflowing abundance of Yuletide cheer across the Resort, from festive entertainment and dazzling décor to seasonal merchandise and specially themed treats.

As The Most Magical Place on Earth prepares for the most wonderful time of year, we’ll take a look at the special daytime experiences guests can look forward to when the Walt Disney World Resort decks its halls, starting in mid-November.

Magic Kingdom Park

The holiday season kicks off at Magic Kingdom Park on November 12, with festive décor lining Main Street, U.S.A., and holiday-themed food and drinks available throughout the park. Guests can enjoy special entertainment experiences like the "Frozen Holiday Surprise!" show at Cinderella Castle, where Olaf and his friends from Arendelle transform the edifice into a glittering crystalized palace for the evening.

Another must-see is the Jingle Cruise, a holiday overlay of the Jungle Cruise, in which the wild attraction is infused with festive jokes and holiday cheer, beginning on November 2.

EPCOT

This holiday season, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth returns from November 29 to December 30, 2024, during which the park dons vibrant décor and puts forth special offerings.

Guests can enjoy captivating stories about holiday traditions from around the world at World Showcase; a tribute to Christmas with “JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season” blending Gospel, R&B, and holiday music; and a sing-along Candlelight Processional at America Gardens Theatre, featuring a mass choir, 50-piece orchestra, and more. This year, the fan-favorite show will welcome new celebrity narrators, including Nico Santos, Ralph Macchio and Titus Burgess, to the stage.

The seasonal event also showcases festive international cuisine as Disney’s Holiday Kitchens deliver diverse culinary offerings across the park. Guests can also bask in the glowing holiday displays at “Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses” while learning about the foods produced here that are featured in the resort’s holiday celebrations.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Starting November 12, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will undergo a dazzlingly festive transformation in which holiday magic combines with classic Hollywood nostalgia. This year sees the introduction of new seasonal entertainment, including performances by the Holiday Spirit Band throughout the park, and other festive acts like holiday musicians and juggling elves.

In Toy Story Land, guests can enjoy larger-than-life holiday decorations in Andy’s backyard and encounter “Toy Story” characters in their festive attire.

Don’t miss the special finale of “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong Celebration”, featuring Olaf and plenty of seasonal songs. As night falls, Sunset Seasons Greetings returns, in which the Hollywood Tower Hotel is magically transfigured into various holiday-themed scenes, including a Muppets gingerbread masterpiece, a Toy Story hotel, a frosty corner of Arendelle and a Dickensian village from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol!”.

Disney Springs

At Disney Springs this Yuletide season, guests can immerse themselves in festive fun with delightful holiday treats, nightly snowfalls, seasonal merchandise and enchanting holiday entertainment. The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth features gloriously themed trees inspired by Walt Disney Studios, Disney Animation, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel with stunning displays showcasing such classic stories as “The Lion King”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, “Coco”, “Lilo and Stitch”, and more. MagicBand+ integration adds an extra layer of holiday magic to the experience.

Shoppers can explore seasonal collections at World of Disney and Disney’s Days of Christmas to find the perfect gifts, while Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar serves up festive drinks and bites in a holiday-themed setting.

Disney Resort Collection Hotels

Of course, the festive cheer extends beyond just the parks this holiday season, offering guests a chance to immerse themselves in the magic of the season at uniquely transformed resort hotels. Each is decked out with its own majestic Christmas tree reflecting the resort’s theme and infused with Disney storytelling.

Visitors can enjoy exploring the many intricate gingerbread displays while savoring the delightful aromas that accompany this time-honored tradition. Additionally, limited-time holiday treats are available at select eateries and shops, making a tour of the hotels an ideal way to forge some unforgettable family memories.
