There are two new talented chefs at the property offering creative cuisine options for guests to enjoy. Executive Chef German Ghelfi is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations for Conrad Punta de Mita and contributes to the ongoing success of the resort’s various dining outlets including signature restaurant Codex, Mezquite and Arbol.
With a passion for creating memorable experiences through food and local traditions, his storied career as a culinary leader includes a variety of international roles, previously serving as culinary director and executive chef at Mandarin Oriental Santiago, as well as cluster executive chef at Waldorf Astoria’s first property in Latin America, Waldorf Astoria Panama.
Codex Chef de Cuisine Ivan Bautista Martinez is a decorated chef who has held a number of positions at high-end restaurants and luxury resorts including Restaurante Alcalde in Guadalajara, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo and Four Seasons Resort Punta de Mita.
Martinez’s professional journey is demonstrative of his commitment and passion for creating unforgettable memories and providing guests with a true taste of Mexico. Given his vast experience, Martinez has proven his affinity for kitchen management within the luxury hospitality space and is now responsible for Codex’s menu development and kitchen operations.
W Punta de Mita
