Wyndham Hotels & Resorts officials announced a partnership with Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts’ nine properties
in Jamaica, Mexico and Panama. Through the agreement, Wyndham will add 2,600
rooms to its all-inclusive resort portfolio, while Decameron will continue to
own and operate all nine resorts.
Five of the Decameron properties will join Wyndham’s Trademark
Collection brand, while four others will become part of the Ramada by Wyndham
brand, said Wyndham officials. All nine properties will join the Wyndham
Rewards loyalty program, which offers travelers 10 points per dollar spent on qualified
stays.
“All-inclusive resorts take the stress out of getting away,
bundling virtually every aspect of the trip into one single price,” said Gustavo
Viescas, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ president, Latin America and the
Caribbean.
“It’s what makes all-inclusives a beloved travel option for
guests and why increasingly, operators like Decameron are turning to Wyndham,”
Viescas said, “helping to significantly expand their reach to travelers around
the globe.”
“Through our alliance with Wyndham, we are joining efforts
with one of the world’s leading hotel franchisors,” said Fabio Villegas, Decameron’s
president, “deploying our combined strengths to enhance our distribution
capabilities and expand our presence.”
“For Wyndham Hotels, it’s a very important partnership
because it’s one more step in growing our all-inclusive collection,” said
Jimena Faena, Wyndham’s vice president, Latin America and Caribbean Marketing.
“It’s a huge achievement as a company. With the addition of Decameron Hotels,
we are giving more options to our U.S. travelers and U.S. members of Wyndham
Rewards.”
Faena said the agreement enables Wyndham to offer travelers
resort stays in a variety of categories, from midscale to luxury
all-inclusive. “Irrespective of the budget they have, they can have an
all-inclusive vacation,” said Faena. “We’re very happy and excited with this
alliance.”
