Central Holidays Unveils Game-Changing Technology

Dedication to the trade, customization, destination knowledge and technology are just some of the elements that set Central Holidays apart, said Adam Greis, the tour operator’s general manager. That dedication to the trade was behind a recently launched and entirely new technology system aimed at simplifying and enhancing the booking process for travel advisors, he said. The system includes a comprehensive website designed to streamline the arrangements for complex tour products and to manage intricate travel itineraries seamlessly.

Cutting-Edge Features

The system handles both FIT and group travel and features dedicated portals for advisors, travelers and suppliers. It boasts myriad innovative features and integrations, including built-in automations with zero lag time, managing the entire booking process from start to finish for advisors. From reservations and payment to reminders to commission payouts, the system works toward ensuring a hassle-free experience for advisors and their clients, Greis said.

Driving Consumers to Advisors

Consumers are required to obtain a booking code from their advisor to make reservations on the website, ensuring that all bookings are facilitated through the trade. The website will also proactively drive new customers to advisors with a new “Find Agent” feature.

“Our new system represents a game-changer, providing travel advisors with unprecedented tools and resources to enhance their business operations and elevate the guest experience,” Greis said.

Expert In-House Counselors

The focus on customized programs requires an internal team that is seriously knowledgeable about product. That’s why Central Holidays’ counselors are required to undergo thorough extensive destination training and are called “global destination specialists,” Greis said.

“That destination specialization has enabled Central Holidays to be successful for over 50 years,” he added. The company has its own destination management organizations in Egypt, Italy and most recently Dubai with strong relationships on the ground elsewhere. Programs are available to Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.

The operator recently unveiled guaranteed departures on some of its most popular Escorted Tours to Italy, which provide advisors with the assurance that they can create their clients’ ideal vacations without worry of cancellation. Guaranteed departures also equate to guaranteed commissions for advisors.

Regional Sales Directors

The operator has five regional sales directors who are continually calling on advisors and hosting events. Webinars also keep advisors updated about promotions and new product.

“We see ourselves as an extension of the travel advisor,” said Maria Jose Merino, vice president of product development and operations. “We offer expertise so they can in turn offer it to their clients, and they can be heroes. That’s the magic we offer to advisors.”
