The identity security company CLEAR has now added EnVe Pods to help streamline biometric identity verification at 12 airports nationwide.
The EnVe Pods, which stand for “enrollment and verification,” are five times faster than other biometric scanners, with members spending only seconds in the pods to verify their identity, without fingerprint or eye scanning. It uses CLEAR’s NextGen Identity+ technology.
EnVe Pods will be rolled out across 58 airports that offer CLEAR Plus through 2025. Currently, they’re now at a selection of 12, the list of which is below.
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)
- Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF)
- Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
- Denver International Airport (DEN)
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Oakland International Airport (OAK)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT)
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
- Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC)
According to the company, the EnVe Pods are available for CLEAR Plus Members and Ambassadors. In early November, the company also launched Ambassador Assist offerings including curb-to-CLEAR guidance for an extra cost at a selection of airports nationwide.
"At CLEAR, we're passionate about helping Members win the day of travel from home to gate and back again," said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker. "CLEAR's Lane of the Future is here with our new EnVe Pods delivering a 5x faster verification. CLEAR Plus Members will now enjoy a faster and more predictable experience nationwide."
