Next year, Tauck’s ms Sapphire will embark on the company’s first-ever Christmas market cruises in France, which will ply the Seine River and include a considerable of one-of-a-kind excursions.
The eight-day “The Seine: Holiday Magic” itinerary will spend three nights in Paris, with excursions to the City of Lights’ Christmas markets, along with options to explore the Cluny Museum, renowned for its medieval art; and the Sainte-Chappelle, the royal chapel housing Louis IX’s holy relics.
“Other cities visited on the eight-day itinerary will include Rouen, Les Andelys and Vernon, with highlights along the way including a private tour and a holiday cocktail party at the opulently decorated Château de Bizy, which was built in 1740 and is still privately owned by a descendant of Napoleon,” Tauck said.
“Guests will also enjoy a private lunch and afternoon tea at Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, also decorated for the season, with time to explore the 100-room moated palace and formal gardens.”
The itinerary will also include a visit to Normandy and its Christmas markets. During the second day at the destination, guests can opt for an excursion to the D-Day beaches or the Rouen Fine Arts Museum.
In all, ms Sapphire – which will be fully decked out in holiday décor – is scheduled to embark on five “The Seine: Holiday Magic” itineraries.
Rates for the 2025 itineraries start at $4,490 per person, double, and include excursions, gratuities, onboard non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, all meals, all taxes and fees, and airport transfers.
