Disney World’s Hollywood Studios is getting a few new upgrades in the near future, including a Monsters, Inc.-themed land that’ll immerse generations of fans in some of the movie’s most iconic scenes and places and a Muppet-themed roller coaster.
Disney doesn’t yet have an opening date for either attraction, but it did provide some information on what to expect.
The Monsters, Inc. world will immerse guests in the movie, with character meet-and-greets, dining, shopping, a new theater show and a suspended ride inspired by the iconic door vault scene.
Additionally, The Muppets are coming to Sunset Boulevard. They’ll feature in the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with music from some of the biggest rock stars, making it the first roller coaster to feature The Muppets at any park.
New Muppets-themed merchandise will also be available on Sunset Boulevard.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has announced plenty of new projects coming to the park in the next few years, including a Villains-themed theater show coming in 2025.
