Last week we celebrated the best of the best in the travel industry at the 10th annual Travvy Awards.
The events team at Northstar Travel Group, TravelPulse’s parent company, did an amazing job bringing life to the award show, which took place at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center in conjunction with CruiseWorld.
The Travvys, often referred to as the Oscars of the travel industry, are voted on by travel advisors, aka the travel influencers out there. Over 500 of the travel industry’s finest gathered for what truly was an epic night.
Some of the highlights of this year’s banquet include:
- Royal Caribbean winning a record 16 Travvy awards, including nine gold trophies.
- Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt, winning 12 Travvy awards, including eight gold trophies.
- The Dominican Republic winning five gold Travvy awards.
- Gloria Bohan, CEO of Omega World Travel, being given the inaugural Champion of Women in Travel Award.
- Stacy Ritter, CEO/President, Visit Lauderdale; Michele Saegesser, Vice President, Sales and National Accounts, Viking; and Roger Block, President, Travel Leaders Network all being named to the travel industry Hall of Fame.
- Honoring members of the inaugural Travel Industry 40 Under 40
The Travvy awards showcase the true standout brands and individuals making a major impact.
